Insock materialsThe shock absorption ability of a shoe is highlighted when running on hard surfaces. A changeable insock is a removable part of the shoe. The insock is anatomically formed. The insock is a light weight soft support system and it is designed to reduce heel shock and over pronation. A correctly moulded insock gives feeling of stability in wear. This makes the shoe feel more comfortable and secure. The most common insock used in sports footwear is a moulded PE (polyethylene) foam laminated to a sock liner. The sock liner in the case study is brushed non woven nylon. PU inserts are used under the heel and joint area. Inserts improve cushioning. |
